Mermay 2019

My first mermaid drawing of the year. It took some time during the initial sketch to figure out the linework and composition, but once I figured out where I wanted everything I got to do the fun part which is the inking and coloring. I was a little more experimental and loose with this as I was slapping down all kinds of colors and focusing on not being so careful. I love to control everything so it was quite a push to really let go and lay down color but still be deliberate. <3
